[canceled] Hamish Borno – Ontopoesis: A radical phenomenological worldview of an interconnected reality
Get to know Ontopoesis – a dynamic concept that involves the communicative engagement of self with the world and the world with the self. Ontopoesis is a form of phenomenology which is very helpful for getting to the essence of a moment – the purity of the moment, which exists without language, presuppositions, symbolism, habituated meanings and thought.
Hamish Borno builds on the works of Goethe, and Maurice Merleau-Ponty to connect with the world around, so that we can work towards dissolving the subject/object boundary and view things as the interconnected parts of a system that they are.
The workshop will touch on our relation to science and how it can be viewed as A truth rather than THE truth – science is a useful tool but we should be able to put it down from time to time!
Ontopoesis also links deeply to a collective consciousness, not just between humans, but with the natural world. There is knowing out there that we simply ignore. This workshop will allow participants to see a new way to be in the world.
